Dawn of Music Records illegally selling our CC-licensed music on beatport

A russian label called “Dawn of Music” is illegally selling a tune by Arje, released on Beat Addiction Recordings, called “Reconstruction“, under a fake artist/name. The “artist” who steals our music here calls himself NFace, and is from Russia, too. We have written to the label in order to give them the possibility to remove all sellings from the internet, and to remove that tune everywhere shown under a fake name, without using law enforcements in the first place. The label-owner told us we have to give him one week of time to remove all instances of the tune, starting from December 12th, 2011.

Right now the tune is still available from beatport.com for 1.30€. Let’s see if they get their stuff removed.

UPDATE: Dawn of Music actually was cooperative to remove the release from their website. If you see any stuff from NFace in the future, please get in contact with us. Thank you.

Firefox issues with the design

We noticed Firefox occasionally displaying the menu bar on the top of the page, mixed up with the logo. Since this behaviour disappears when hovering the menu bar and since it only occurs occasionally (when reloading the page all is fine), we consider this being a bug in FF. However, we currently try to work around this. For now, reloading the page will do the job, if that happens. If anyone encounters this behaviour in any other browser as well, please let us know. Thank you.

Some information about ongoing progress

We moved to a new domain, beataddiction.cc, for various reasons. Also the website has been changed, as some of you might notice.

The beataddiction project wants to give out some shouts to Christoph Kronenberg, who has supported us with complimentary work on some design and technical issues of the project.

We would also like to thank our producers. Without you, this project wouldn’t be what it is right now.

For further information about beataddiction, check out the about page.
